Bulletin of Faculty of Pharmacy Cairo University (B-FOPCU) is the official journal of Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. Bulletin of Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University is published in two issues per year constituting one volume and accepts only articles that conform to its scope and editorial standards. B-FOPCU publishes review and original articles that contribute significantly to knowledge in different disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences. All submitted papers are subjected to an extensive review by the editorial board and by independent referees. The journal is classified into sections including clinical pharmacy and pharmacology, phytochemistry and natural products, microbiology immunology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical organic and analytical chemistry, and interdisciplinary.
The journal started the first volume in 1962 as printed journal. The journal expanded its vision towards the international scientific community and began publishing in digital platform to reach and appeal to researchers around the world. The journal was published by Elsevier from 2011-2019 (volumes 49-56). Starting from Volume 57, all published contents are hosted in Digital Commons, Elsevier.
Cairo University is one of the top public universities in Egypt. It is considered as the mother university among other younger universities in Egypt. Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University is committed to qualify graduates who adhere to values and ethics of the pharmacy profession. Faculty of Pharmacy-Cairo University is ranked #81 in the field of pharmacy and pharmacology in QS Global World Rankings 2022.
Bulletin of Faculty of Pharmacy Cairo University (B-FOPCU) is an open access journal licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 4.0 License. B-FOPCU does not charge authors any fees for submitting and publishing their articles in the journal.
ANNOUNCEMENT: B-FOPCU announces a special issue "Rational use of medicine in developing economies and nanotechnology based alternatives." The issue discusses the irrational use of medicine in developing countries as a concern that may lead to a decrease in healthcare quality and an enormous waste of resources.
